December 15, 2025, Psalm 119:145-152

December 15, 2025, Psalm 119:145-152

145 With my whole heart I cry; answer me, O Lord!
    I will keep your statutes.
146 I call to you; save me,
    that I may observe your testimonies.
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
    I hope in your words.
148 My eyes are awake before the watches of the night,
    that I may meditate on your promise.
149 Hear my voice according to your steadfast love;
    Lord, according to your justice give me life.
150 They draw near who persecute me with evil purpose;
    they are far from your law.
151 But you are near, O Lord,
    and all your commandments are true.
152 Long have I known from your testimonies
    that you have founded them forever.

I love these verses.  So many times I have heard people say they don’t feel like they can ask God for things for themselves.  That it is selfish.  That we should only pray for others.  Oh that you could see how very much God wants you to come to Him with everything.  Big and small.  He wants us to share our whole heart with Him.  We see in these verses that we can cry out to Him with our whole heart.

When your children are struggling don’t you want to know?  Even when they are grown, we want to know when they are hurting.  My friends know what I am going through and my daily struggles. Our heavenly Father wants us to share everything with Him.  He already knows, but He wants US to share it with Him.

I don’t know if you have ever shared a difficult time with someone and realized that through that shared trial, you drew closer to them.  God wants us to draw closer to Him every day. Pour out your heart to Him.  Allow Him to love on you and give you peace.
