August 13, 2025, Psalm 13:1-6

13 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
    How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my soul
    and have sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;
    light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”
    lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
    my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
    because he has dealt bountifully with me.

Have you ever felt that you were completely alone in the world with no one to help you, love you, or comfort you?

Although it may feel at times that God has abandoned you, trust me, He is there.  Sometimes He is quiet.  Why does He stay quiet?

Maybe so we have time to think and realize how we need to approach Him.

Maybe so we can realize how much we need Him?  It is true that we don’t realize how much someone means to us until they are gone.  God is never gone, but when He is silent, don’t stop praying.  He hears you, loves you, and is watching over you.
