Exodus 26:30-37
30 Then you shall erect the tabernacle according to the plan for it that you were shown on the mountain.
31 “And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. It shall be made with cherubim skillfully worked into it. 32 And you shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, with hooks of gold, on four bases of silver. 33 And you shall hang the veil from the clasps, and bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy. 34 You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place. 35 And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle opposite the table, and you shall put the table on the north side.
36 “You shall make a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework. 37 And you shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, and you shall cast five bases of bronze for them.
What was the purpose of the veil? The veil was to separate the people from God as He dwelt in the Most Holy Place. I just love that we are no longer separated from God. We have Jesus as our intercessor. The Holy Spirit dwells with us daily. God’s plan is perfect. His provision is complete, and we are beyond blessed. Thank God today for all that He does for you and all that He provides for us. Thank God for His perfect plan and His unconditional love. May we learn, as we grow more like Him, to love unconditionally. When you consider the thickness of this veil, remember that when Jesus died on the cross, this veil is ripped from top to bottom. Thank You God for allowing us direct access to You through Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. He redeemed us from our own sin!
Heavenly Father, when I read these passages, I see how precise You are. You leave nothing out. I am so grateful You are so specific with things in the Bible. It shows me who You are and that nothing is left to chance. You have planned things from the beginning as to how to help us, when to bring Jesus into the world and how You would redeem us with His blood. I have to admit I don’t understand it all, but what I struggle with the most is that people can’t see how much You love us and want the best for us. How so many people struggle to see a plan and think this earth was the result of an accident definitely baffles me. When I look at a newborn and I see how each finger and toe is so tiny, I know You are in control. Even when things aren’t perfect, when the world would say, “something went wrong”, I know You have a purpose. I don’t have to understand everything because I have faith in You and I know You are in control. Even when the enemy seems to be winning, I know it is only because You are allowing Him to think so. Thank You for being there for me and giving me peace every day. Thank You for passages like these to help me remember how perfect You are and that You have the blueprints for my life.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
