Exodus 25:1-9
25 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. 3 And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, 4 blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats' hair, 5 tanned rams' skins, goatskins, acacia wood, 6 oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 7 onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. 8 And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst. 9 Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it.

God is about to teach His people how to craft for Him fine pieces that will reside in the Holy of Holies. I cannot imagine being taught by God. He was very willing to teach His people and show them what He desired. God has gifted all of us with a talent or two.
Are you willing to use your talent to edify God’s people and praise Him for the talents and gifts He has given you?
Think about your calling and your talents God has blessed you with and take time to serve others with these blessings.
God will grow you and continue to lead you as you are used in His service.

Heavenly Father, what a beautiful picture of Your people being allowed to contribute to something that would mean so much to them. So many get frustrated by being asked to contribute to church, but You don’t really need our money. We need to be a part of something amazing and anything You are in, is amazing. I wish everyone could see that all we have is really not ours, but Yours. If we could all understand that, Your churches would never be in need of money or asking for offerings and Your people would always be able to help the homeless, the widows and the orphans. We would always have plenty, because You would bless us to have more than enough. Of course, how much is enough? Way less than what I have. I have so much more than I need and more than You promised me. Why is it I think I made that money, or I own that car or house? It is all Yours and You are so kind You are allowing me to use it. The only thing I have that is mine, is the ability to call on Jesus as my Redeemer. Nothing else will come with me when I leave this earth, but that is truly all I need. Father, help me remember how much You have blessed me on those days when I struggle to remember. Help me give to those in need when You direct me to help someone. Help me lean into You with how You want me to use Your gifts You have allowed me to care for while I am here. Thank You for Your saving grace and mercy.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
