26 Then
the Lord said to
Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back
upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.” 27 So
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its
normal course when the morning appeared. And as the Egyptians fled into it,
the Lord threw[c] the
Egyptians into the midst of the sea. 28 The waters
returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh
that had followed them into the sea, not one of them remained. 29 But
the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters
being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
30 Thus
the Lord saved Israel
that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on
the seashore. 31 Israel saw the great power that
the Lord used against
the Egyptians, so the people feared the Lord,
and they believed in the Lord and
in his servant Moses.
How wonderful to see God
continue to protect His chosen people. Not only does God protect the
Israelites, He destroys their enemies. Egyptians were rendered helpless, and
God triumphed again. Take a look at your life. Are you being pursued by a
frightful army? Probably not but if you are like me, it sometimes seems like an
army when Satan is after you. Satan has
pursued people since Adam and Eve and he's not about to stop now. When I was a child and became scared, I
always ran to my dad, and he would pick me up and hold me in his arms. I felt so protected there. Of course, now I know the protection I
thought I had in his arms, was all in my head, but it sure made this little
girl feel safe.
Allow God to provide you
protection and do not hesitate to cry out to God when the battle feels too tough,
and all seems to be crashing in on you. He is a mighty God and He loves us.
Turn to Him, cry out to Him and let Him show you the way.
Heavenly Father, I am so
thankful for the wonderful protection You offer me every single day. Thank You for the parents You gave me that offered
me comfort when I was sick, comfort when I was scared and discipline when I
need correction. They stepped in to help
me learn until You could take over and teach me. I am so grateful You haven’t given up on
me. I know I am a hard case at
times. But You love me just the
same. Thank You for the armor You give
me to use Jesus righteousness, the spoke words for the Bible, the faith that
You give me, and they are all for my benefit so I can fight the enemy. What wonderful gifts You give. Help me use them well, and I pray they hit
the spot in Satan, so He will see the futility in attacking Your children very
soon.
Protect me, help me, and
love me, Father.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
