Heavenly Father, thank You so much
for being our faithful protector. Even
when things go wrong, we have You we can rely on for everything. Comfort, strength, love, and to help us be in
the place we need to be to do Your work.
Guide me as I follow You, to hear Your voice clearly and always follow
Your lead. Help me remember You always
have my best in mind. It doesn’t always
seem like its my best, but when my heart is to make a difference in Your
kingdom, then my best looks different than a selfish best might. Help me to want Your best and Your desires
for my life. Help me remember that the
easy path isn’t really the easy path we think it is, because it ends in
destruction. Help me hear Your voice
clearly. Help me be obedient to You no
matter what.
Thank You for the day You are giving
me today to share with others about You and Your good news of the gospel and
the salvation it brings to those who believe.
Help me make a difference today.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!
What a beautiful story of God’s
faithfulness and steadfast love.
Although imprisoned, Joseph was once again found to show leadership and
God blessed him as he was put in charge of all prisoners.
Think of a time when life seemed difficult
or even desperate to you.
Did you call out to God?
Did you remain faithful to God?
Praise God for his faithfulness in
the situation and/or resolve and continue to trust Him as trials and
tribulations come your way.
Thank Him for the good that will
come out of that trial.
Genesis 39:19-23
19 As
soon as his master heard the words that his wife spoke to him, “This is the way
your servant treated me,” his anger was kindled. 20 And
Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, the place where
the king's prisoners were confined, and he was there in prison. 21 But the Lord was
with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight
of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of
the prison put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the
prison. Whatever was done there, he was the one who did it. 23 The
keeper of the prison paid no attention to anything that was in Joseph's charge,
because the Lord was with him. And whatever he did, the Lord made
it succeed.
