Thank You Father, for the wonderful Father you are. You love us so much and show us that every single day. How often do we show our appreciation for all You have done for us? It is especially sweet Father that You give us so much, when we deserve nothing at all. I know I don’t, and we are all sinners, who don’t deserve the love You give us, but You don’t just give love, You are love. You can’t help but show love because it is who You are. Father, help me to see ways to show You love. I know the best way is to share about You to everyone I know. How timid I become when I know I am to reach out and I hesitate because I think they might think less of me if I speak about something they don’t want to hear. You did not make me timid or afraid, Father. You gave me strength, You are my strength. All I need is You. Father, help me know how to reach people that might seem hard to reach, or those who put up a wall where You are concerned. I know it is really a wall about “religion” when what they need to hear about is a relationship with You. Help me show my love to You by sharing You no matter how intimidated or afraid I might be. Give me the words. Show me each time what approach to take. What will get through to that lost soul so they will listen, hear, and respond. Help me believe in You to the extent that I believe You will guide me no matter what. I can’t help think of the verse where it says, “I believe, help me with my unbelief.” I so understand that verse. I do believe, but no matter how much I believe, I can only believe with a limited perspective because I am a limited person. Help me love and believe with all of me. Help me grow each day, becoming more and more the person You want me to be, and less and less the person I am.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen!

What a sweet scripture passage this is. God kept his promise and Abraham and Sarah were blessed with a son, Isaac. I love the phrase “and the Lord did to Sarah as he had promised.” We serve a mighty, loving God. Think today of a promise God has kept in your life and offer Him praise now.

Genesis 21:1-7
The LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as he had promised. 2 And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him. 3 Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore him, Isaac. 4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him. 5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. 6 And Sarah said, “God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh over me.” 7 And she said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.
