Prayer - 4-3-23

Heavenly Father, in reading some of Jesus' last words today in John 16, knowing that when those words were spoken, He knew exactly what was ahead, it really redefines "tribulation" for me. He knew that all of them except John would die for their beliefs and John would die while exiled. He knew the death He Himself would endure. Then I think about what I go through and realize how fortunate I am, how fortunate we are to live at a time when no matter what we endure, the Holy Spirit is with us. The disciples had no idea what was ahead, but I know the Holy Spirit had to help them endure what lay ahead. I can't imagine living without the help of the Holy Spirit. Thank You God that You are always with me, no matter what I face, no matter what the world throws my way, no matter what the enemy does to distract me, You are there. Yes, I know I will have tribulation and trouble in this evil world, but I know there is nothing I ever have to face alone because of the gift You give of the Holy Spirit. Thank You for never leaving me alone, thank You for loving me in such a powerful way, thank You for being such an amazing, loving and powerful God!
In Jesus' name.
Amen!
