4-17-23 - Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You so much for the godly man You gave me in my husband Doug. Although we had our difficulties, He is a man of God and all the times that were tough were because we had forgotten to walk with You every minute. Please guide us as we work to be an example to others now of what a marriage is supposed to be and how it is a marriage of 3, not 2. When we have tried to do it on our own, it wasn’t good. Anything without You, Father, isn’t good. Help us to never forget that and always involve You in everything we do.
Help me to remember to pray not only for my children and their spouses and future spouse, but my grandchildren to follow You in everything and to find a spouse that honors You in all they do. Help me to be an example to them, and for the to be an example to the coming generations.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

So often we are willing to help others, but not if it puts us out or causes us work. Help me love unconditionally and act on that love. Joseph spent most of his life with Egyptians, but certainly not in comfort until the last years regarding the famine, but yet he grew to love them to a degree he worked to make their lives better. I pray Father that You help me to love like that. Help me remember to act on the love for others and be Jesus to those around me. In Jesus’ name. Amen! I find this so interesting. Joseph, not an Egyptian, sold into slavery, and imprisoned in Egypt for years because of an Egyptian who lied about him.
